Mysterious mediaeval folk music from the Pyreneans
On "Satyre Cornu", the French mediaeval folk duo Stille Volk enchants the listener with mystical, sometimes joyful, sometimes sinister tunes with lyrics deeply rooted in pagan traditions and the worship of the god Pan. Old legends come to life again and take us on a journey to the era of the troubadours of the 12th century. By using Old French lyrics, Stille Volk manage to create an authentic atmosphere you'll find nowhere else.
Temný rituální ženský projekt. Okultní rituální dark ambient s prvky black metalu a industrialu. Rusko.
Velice pozoruhodná kooperace bulharského folklórního ansáblu s legendární zpěvačkou Dead Can Dance.
The Mystery Of The Bulgarian Voices will release their first album of new studio recordings in over two decades on May 25th, 2018. Better known to many as Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares (Grammy winner for “Best Traditional Folk Recording”), ‘BooCheeMish’ sees the esteemed Bulgarian choir performing together with erstwhile 4AD Records label mate Lisa Gerrard (co-founder of the duo Dead Can Dance) on several tracks, thereby uniting two of the most distinctive vocal acts working in music. Gerrard, who is also well known for her movie soundtrack work on films such as ‘Gladiator’ and ’The Insider’, has often spoken about the influence the choir exerted on her singing technique when she discovered their music in the early 1980’s.
In successfully connecting Bulgarian folklore with other traditions and cultures, the album manages to retain the unique identity of the voices, vocal styles and...

From album to album, THEODOR BASTARD carefully and masterly combine many different exotic and traditional instruments. 'Volch'ya Yagoda' is no exception.
The special northern atmosphere of the album is created with Nordic nyckelharpa and jouhikko, primeval flutes created from tree roots and shamanic percussion. And as always, the leading role in the album belongs to the voice of Yana Veva, exciting and bewitching by its deepness.
'Volch'ya Yagoda' takes the listener to the cold and twilight realms of marshy swamps of taiga and mossy tundra, to unexplored places where the earthly plane and the spiritual world are separated only by a very thin ghostly veil.
For fans of Heilung, Garmarna and Wardruna.

Litevský rituální folk. Krásné digipackové vydání.
Sutartinės in their pure form! Unique Lithuanian polyphonic ritual songs are performed by the most known sutartinės singers (chanters) group Trys Keturiose. This is very old tradition from pagan past, kept alive in secret for ages, mostly among women. The songs (chants) on conceptual "Kas dar taka" collection are dominated by the Lithuanian verb teka which has several mythologically connected meanings: it means the rising of the sun, the flowing of a river, the flowing of time as well as the process of a woman marrying a man. The chants have a strict and careful connection to the authentic findings of folklore expeditions, and have been tonically perfected by singers' voices only, without other musical instruments or sounds. Strongly entrancing, magical sutartinės smoothly flow and weave a symbolic message from a femininely transparent, fragile and slow that time (in illo tempore) to the hurried and chaotic world. The CD comes in a...
Velmi pěkný severský rituální tribal ambient folk.
Originally a solo project by singer and multi-instrumentalist Will Hunter, Vévaki is a folk band which draws from Nordic heathenism and animistic traditions.
Myth, ritual and a connection with the natural world feed Vévaki’s music, which is both contemporary in sound and wide-ranging in instrumentation.
Vévaki’s second album, ‘Fórnspeki’, finds the band expanding upon their sound while staying true to their folk roots and traditions.
For fans of Heilung, Darkher, Wardruna, Nytt Land, Dead Can Dance.

Rituální šamanský dark ambient / industrial z Ruska.
The lunar tree stretches its branches, as if they were the tentacles of a monster, and pulls, clings, embraces
the lost souls. Soon, paths and glades slowly covers with mosses and herbs. Forest spirits groan between the tumbled-down tree tranks, giving birth to the horrifying music, when the Moon is in her second quarter...
label Status Prod. presents the self-titled debut CD album of the anonymous ritual ambient / death industrial project When the Moon is in its second quarter.
Two nameless hymns - rituals narrate the chthonic nature of the forest, which resists any manifestation of the human presence. Whimsical drawings of rhythms and drones call into the darkest, forbidden forest thickets and make the souls get lost in them forever ...
The album was released in 200 hand-numbered copies, and is a pennant made of black designer cardboard with PAINT-IT-BLACK DESIGN, applied by silk-screen printing on it, in silver color.

In 2009 at Area10 in London, our mutual friend Kasper T. Toeplitz introduced Z’EV (1951 - 2017) with his percussion to me (Julien Ottavi) during a David Tudor’s Rainforest IV performance that I was organising at that time with the support of Apo33.
Even though we had played a couple of gigs before in London and Nantes, the real start of our collaboration was when we toured together in 2011. In 2014, Z’EV came to live in Nantes and we spent time playing music together, mainly working with Orgone Nantes Percussion on a Z’EV piece for percussion. We worked on some recordings mixed live and studio sessions that had been put together over the year after 2015. We used both percussion recordings and live music that were sometimes processed and other times not. We spent a whole year recording bits and pieces that were assembled together during a few months. The idea was...
